⚠️ From Cascadeur 2025.2 there is a built in nth keyframe reduction command. ⚠️

Since this product has similar functionality, it will no longer be maintained.

1. Installation

1. Download the key_reduction_2024_1.zip file
   (Or key_reduction.zip if you use older versions of Cacadeur)
2. Unzip it
3. Copy the folder with it’s content to the Cascadeur commands folder

    📁 /Cascadeur/resources/scripts/python/commands

4. Restart Cascadeur

2. Usage

2.1 Uniform keyframe reduction

 📏 Commands → Keyframe Reduction → Uniform

Preserves every nth keyframe based on user input, deleting the others within the selected interval or across the entire animation.

Options:

• Use selected: Keyframes will be removed from the selected interval on the selected layers.
• Step: Denoting the difference between any two keyframes which will be kept.

2.2 Remove unflagged keys

🚩 Commands → Keyframe Reduction → Unflagged

Preserves only the keyframes marked with flag, eliminating all others within the selected interval or across the entire animation.

Options:

• Use selected: Keyframes will be removed from the selected interval on the selected layers.

3. Uninstall

1. Delete the installed folder
2. Restart Cascadeur
